"TSUNAGU HIKARI"(Connecting Light) Launched to Support Vicitims from Tohoku Kanto Earthquake Afflicted Areas
We, voluntary citizens of Japan, wish to announce the launching of "TSUNAGU HIKARI" Campaign For Victims' Support from Tohoku Kanto Afflicted Areas.
Due to expected serious effects of radiation released from those damaged nuclear power plants, recovery of those areas afflicted by Tsunami and earthquakes and damaged nuclear power plants is considered to extend for a long term.
Okinawa located farthest south from those afflicted areas can be said to be the safest island for evacuation.
We act as information center to help accommodation in Okinawa for first "pregnant women and families with small children" among those who were evacuated within 30 km (20 miles) circle.
We are recruiting volunteers for this project and asking for information of homesteads, available hotel rooms, houses etc. which can be offered for this purpose.
Our Mission:
1. 1. To arrange accommodations in Okinawa for those victims.
2. Short Term (1~2 weeks) and Mid & Long Term
3. 2. To provide appropriate personal cares needed by the victims such as those of mental, health and living
